Who we are
H. S. Smith Projects Limited (“we”, “us”) is a construction and property maintenance contractor, registered in England and Wales under company number 16293749. Our registered office is Pure Offices, Kestrel Court, Harbour Road, Portishead, Bristol, BS20 7AN. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect
This website has no forms and does not ask you for any information. We only receive personal information when you contact us by email or phone, or when we work for you. This may include:
- your name, email address, phone number and postal address
- the address of the property and details of the work required
- photos or documents you send us about the job
- quotes, invoices, payment records and our correspondence
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote (steps before entering a contract with you)
- to carry out, manage and invoice the work (performing our contract with you)
- to keep accounting and tax records and meet health and safety obligations (legal obligation)
- to handle any later questions, warranty matters or disputes about the work (our legitimate interests)
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Only where needed to do the job or run the business: trusted trade professionals and suppliers working on your project, our accountant, our insurers, and the providers of our email and IT services. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records of work we carry out, including invoices, are kept for six years after the job is finished, as required for tax purposes and in case of later claims.
This website
The site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. To load faster and work offline, your browser may keep a copy of some site files; this does not contain any personal information. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or limit or object to how we use it. To make a request, email henry@hssmithprojects.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
